Hi, I'm Julie
I’m the founder and designer behind hijulez. I believe that clothing should be a source of hope, individuality, and connection not just another disposable trend. That is why I aim to create intentional, timeless pieces that celebrate individuality and will hopefully be passed down for generations!
My first introduction to sewing came from my grandfather, who gifted me a sewing machine, sparking a love for textiles and creation. Soon after, my dad, Trev, who’s an ER doctor, taught me how to suture, which served as an introduction to precision and technique that has stuck with me ever since. My journey took me from studying embroidery at Maison Lesage in Paris and fashion design at Polimoda in Florence to now working in my home city, Vancouver.
hijulez is a place where I get to showcase not only the final garments and projects I create, but also bring you behind the scenes of my creative process and the world of hijulez.

Madelaine
Senior Production and Design Assistant
Madelaine has been a key part of hijulez since 2020, playing an essential role in shaping the brand. When she’s not working as a makeup artist in the film industry, she’s in the studio with us, bringing hijulez collections and one-of-a-kind pieces to life through her craftsmanship and attention to detail. Her dedication helps ensure each design reflects the brand’s vision and quality.

Reagan has been an integral part of our team since 2023, elevating our online presence through her expertise in marketing and photography. Her creativity and strategic insight help bring hijulez’s vision to life, allowing us to connect with a wider audience and strengthen our brand identity.
Sophie
Production Assistant
Sophie first joined hijulez as a practicum student and quickly became an important part of the team. After completing her practicum in 2025, she officially joined us to help turn sketches into finished designs and keep production running smoothly, all while completing her Fashion and Technology degree.
Valentina
Social Media Assistant
Valentina joined our team part-time in 2025 to help shape our social media presence and keep us on top of ever-changing trends. She’s our TikTok queen, and we truly couldn’t do it without her.
